Caydyn's surgery

Caydyn's surgery went great! Very fast and smooth!

We arrived at Rockford Memorial at 6am. Deztyni spent the day with Nana, while Layla wasn't feeling well, so she came along with Mommy & Daddy.

Caydyn was such a trooper! After registering him and getting him all checked in and changed into his hospital gown, the time had come! It was 8am and the anesthesiologist and surgeon came to get him to head off to the operating room.

It BROKE MY HEART to see him so scared and upset when they wheeled him off. That was very hard. =(

John and I waited, with Layla, in the nearest waiting room for the doctor to come and tell us everything was done. Little did we know...the surgery took only 15 minutes! Both ears were tubed and his adenoids had been removed! =)

At 8:20am, Caydyn was wheeled into the recovery room. As the nurse was wheeling him down the halls, I heard him and rushed to his side. He was so groggy and scared. =( He immediately grabbed my hand and stopped crying. He was so brave!

John and I sat with him as he woke up from the anesthetics. He HATED the IV in his arm and kept trying to pull it out. Thankfully, the anesthesiologist wrapped his whole arm and hand so he couldn't pull it out on his own.

After about a hour, we were getting discharged and headed home! Caydyn was SOOOOO happy to be going home!

After we got home, Caydyn drank a ton of juice and water and took a long nap. He woke and began playing as if he didn't just have surgery 5 hours before! We are SO proud of him!

Now we are very anxious for our lil boy to be feeling much better and to jump on the road to better hearing and speech!

After surgery
